LHU completes the 2nd cycle educational institution accreditation

On June 24, 2023 LHU in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (CEA - VNUHCM) held the closing ceremony of the official survey for the external assessment at LHU, cycle 2 according to the education accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The closing ceremony welcomed the participation of the external evaluation delegation including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam - Director of the CEA - VNUHCM, Head of the evaluation delegation; Nguyen Thi Huyen, M.A – Former Director, Center for Educational Excellence, VNUHCM - University of Natural Sciences - Secretary; Dr. Le Thi Anh Tu - Head of Quality Management Department, Da Lat University - Supervisor; and members of the external assessment delegation. On the side of LHU, there were Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the University Council; DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Members of the Rectorate Board along with representatives of affiliated units.

At the conclusion ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam - Director of the CEA - VNUHCM, representing the assessment team spoke and presented the preliminary results of the survey after 5 days of working directly at the University from June 20th to 24th, 2023. The evaluation team was intrigued by 3 highlights of LHU: the people, methodical strategies and investment in digital transformation and systematically invested quality assurance and accreditation activities.

Accordingly, the external assessment delegation pointed out the strengths and made recommendations for the University to have plans to improve the quality of training in the coming time.

At the end of the closing session, the head of the external assessment delegation, representative of the CEA - VNUHCM, and the Rector of LHU signed the minutes of completing the official survey.

The University will receive a draft of the external assessment report in July, 2023, as expected. After that, it has one month to perfect the comments before the Center sends the official results of the assessment.
