On the afternoon of October 7, 2026, Lac Hong University (LHU) hosted a virtual participation hub in Room B203 to attend a training conference on institutional self-assessment in accordance with Circular No. 20/2026/TT-BGDĐT. The conference was organized by the Quality Management Department under the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
Attending the conference at LHU's virtual participation hub were Vice Rector Nguyen Thanh Lam, leaders and staff of the Office of Testing and Quality Assurance, and quality assurance officers from various university units.
The training focused on the provisions of Circular No. 20/2026/TT-BGDĐT concerning institutional accreditation in higher education, including assessment standards, self-assessment procedures, evidence collection and analysis, and the preparation of institutional self-assessment reports. The conference also featured practical guidance sessions, discussions, and a question-and-answer session addressing issues related to implementation.
Participation in the training enabled LHU's quality assurance personnel to stay informed about the latest regulations, strengthen their professional competencies, and further enhance the University's internal quality assurance system. It also provided a foundation for promoting data-driven management and decision-making, with the aim of developing an integrated system for connecting and sharing data across university units to support institutional self-assessment, quality accreditation, and continuous improvement. These efforts contribute to progressively enhancing university governance, transparency, and accountability.
In addition to organizing the on-campus virtual participation hub, Lac Hong University appointed a representative from the leadership of the Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance to participate in a panel discussion held as part of the conference.
This participation demonstrated the University's proactive commitment to professional dialogue, knowledge sharing, and strengthening collaboration with government authorities and other higher education institutions. These efforts align with the multi-stakeholder partnership approach promoted by Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17) – Partnerships for the Goals.
