Faculty of Science and Food Technology - Visit and Share Experience at SIMMY Aquatic Products Company

On November 28, 2023, the Department of Food Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, visited SIMMY Aquatic Products Company at Duc Hoa I Industrial Park, Hamlet 5, Duc Hoa Dong Commune, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province."

SIMMY Aquatic Products Company Limited was established in 2006, primarily engaged in the production of frozen seafood and processed food items. The company operates a closed-loop system, covering cultivation, processing, and freezing. Currently, the company manages over 100 hectares of shrimp farming ponds, with a focus on whiteleg shrimp cultivation. SIMMY Aquatic Products Company utilizes aquaculture techniques from Taiwan, combined with processing expertise from outstanding professionals in Vietnam, to deliver high-quality seafood raw materials and processed food products to consumers.

At the sharing session, the company discussed a scholarship support policy for 5 students majoring in Food Technology to pursue master's degrees in Taiwan. The visit has expanded the collaboration between the company and Lac Hong University, creating opportunities for advanced professional education for students in the Department of Food Science and Technology.
