Are You Shy? Do You Love Economic Law but Still Wonder Whether It Is the Right Fit for You?

Time truly passes quickly. Before I knew it, I had already become a third-year student majoring in Economic Law at Lac Hong University. I suddenly recalled the period after I graduated from high school, when I felt extremely uncertain about choosing a major. I believe this is a common concern among students after completing high school, and I was no exception. One day, I woke up and asked myself: “Why do the people around me always seem to have a passion and confidently pursue it, while I do not?” I did not seem to have any passion at all. So what should I do? Of course, the first thing I did was to explore my own interests. I enjoyed writing and posting on social media, and I often read books. These seemingly small interests gradually developed into a passion. I began to research which fields of study suited my interests, and by chance, I discovered that Economic Law was also well suited to me. Law students need writing skills as well.

Speaking of this, I almost forgot to mention that I am also the “quiet” type – in other words, I am not particularly eloquent. Could someone like me study Law? If I have passion but lack natural talent, can I still pursue Law? Should I give up or “stubbornly” chase my dream? Will studying Law lead to unemployment after graduation?

All of these questions have answers. I believe that I simply needed patience to reflect: “Some factors may be innate, but many remarkable abilities are built from genuine interest.” Today’s career landscape is vast. Even if I cannot do exactly the job I originally desired, it is still entirely possible to work in related fields.

I began researching universities that offer Law programs and was fortunate to find Lac Hong University, located in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province. Why did I choose Bien Hoa instead of universities in Ho Chi Minh City? Simply because I do not enjoy the noise, bustle, and crowded pace of Ho Chi Minh City. One distinctive feature I found at Lac Hong University, which other universities do not have, is the convenience of traveling between campuses for study, as all campuses are located along the same street, Huynh Van Nghe Street. I chose Lac Hong University because it offers good facilities, modern equipment, and well-appointed infrastructure. Instead of renting accommodation, I chose to experience the student dormitory from my first year. The dormitory is clean, well-equipped, airy, and secure, which is especially suitable for first-year students who are still adjusting, like I was.

I chose Lac Hong University because it has dedicated and enthusiastic lecturers who are passionate about their profession. I can share my difficulties and aspirations with them, and they provide appropriate advice. Earlier, I mentioned that I am not good at speaking. Therefore, I joined the Economic Law Club. Firstly, it allowed me to develop my strength in writing. In addition, through club meetings, I was able to improve my communication skills, critical thinking, and public speaking abilities.

I was trusted by the lecturers and fellow club members to host a seminar program. To be honest, I was very afraid at that time. I was afraid of not performing well and disappointing everyone. However, thanks to their encouragement and support, I was able to complete the task relatively well. As PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of The Faculty of Administration International Economics – once said: “To evaluate a person, one must evaluate them through a process.” Perhaps I did not perform perfectly that time, but at least I had the courage to try something I never thought I could do. At The Faculty of Administration International Economics, in addition to academic knowledge, you are always given opportunities to develop skills and overcome weaknesses through extracurricular activities, clubs, and specialized competitions such as the “Mock Trial,” “Students with Public Speaking Skills,” and legal document research competitions, helping you achieve your dreams.

I challenged myself in the competition “Students with Public Speaking Skills” organized by the University
… and was fortunate to receive a Consolation Prize in the competition

If you also love the field of Law like I do, why hesitate? Take action! Quickly register for admission to Lac Hong University.
