EDUCATION

Record and preserve cultural heritage

Lac Hong University contributes to cultural heritage preservation at local and regional levels. Students document language and culture through videos, photographs, reports, and digital infographics, while research records traditional festivals, rituals, costumes, instruments, and cuisine. LHU also co-organizes the Dong Nai Tourism Presentation and Promotion Contest, encouraging students and communities to document, interpret, and promote local intangible cultural heritage.

OPERATIONS

Sustainable commuting

Lac Hong University measures commuting patterns and targets a 10% reduction in individual vehicle use by 2028, using 2024 as the baseline. Sustainable commuting increased by 2.7% in 2025. Measures include shuttle buses, pedestrian-priority areas, conditional remote working, hybrid learning, walking initiatives, and planned bicycle facilities, EV charging, public-transit subsidies, carpooling, and Car-Free Days.

Affordable housing for employees and students

Lac Hong University evaluates housing affordability against local market conditions and household income. Student dormitories are maintained at rates around 4% below the local market average, with fees waived during disasters or pandemics. Staff receive housing guidance based on a 30% income affordability benchmark, cost-of-living allowances, and planned access to preferential rental arrangements through external partners.
