Spreading Love 2026 – Round 2: A Journey of Compassion and Community Engagement by Students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting

On the morning of Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Youth Union and Student Association of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Lac Hong University, organized the charitable program “Spreading Love 2026 – Round 2” at Linh Quang Shelter, located in Xuan Phu Commune, Xuan Loc Ward, Dong Nai City.

The program was designed to promote the values of compassion, social responsibility, and community engagement among students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Lac Hong University, particularly in supporting disadvantaged individuals, orphaned children, and vulnerable communities within Dong Nai City.

Established in 2008 under the care of Venerable Thich Nu Phong Dieu, Linh Quang Shelter has become a nurturing home for more than one hundred orphaned, abandoned, and underprivileged children. The shelter provides them with opportunities for daily living, education, and personal development within a caring and supportive environment fostered by the community.

As part of the program, the delegation presented a variety of practical donations to support the shelter’s childcare and nurturing activities, including: Daily necessities valued at VND 6 million; A cash donation of VND 1 million for the shelter; An additional VND 2.9 million contributed by generous sponsors and benefactors; School supplies, notebooks, and toys for the children. The total value of support not only reflected the spirit of compassion and solidarity demonstrated by students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting but also represented the collective contributions of benefactors, faculty members, and alumni who joined hands to support the initiative.

Beyond the donation activities, student volunteers actively assisted Linh Quang Shelter in preparing and distributing gifts as well as providing free meals to disadvantaged and low-income residents in the local community. The smiles and heartfelt appreciation of the recipients became a powerful source of motivation, adding greater meaning to the Faculty’s charitable journey.

Through this program, students not only contributed to supporting those in need but also gained valuable firsthand experiences regarding the importance of compassion, volunteerism, and civic responsibility. The initiative serves as one of the Faculty’s representative activities in promoting the image of Lac Hong University students as dynamic, socially responsible, and community-oriented individuals.

The “Spreading Love 2026 – Round 2” program concluded with many meaningful and memorable moments, leaving lasting impressions on all participants. It is hoped that these small yet meaningful acts of kindness will continue to inspire others, contributing to the spread of positive values throughout the community and society.
