80 LHU students joined the paid internship program in Japan

Recently, representatives of Kyodai company and JTB company came to LHU to interview 80 senior students of Japanese Studies major for paid internship program. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu - Director of Kyodai company, Mr. Shirakawa Naohiro - Coordinator of Internship Program, JTB company and Mr. Kasuya Takeo - Business coordinator of JTB company directly interviewed candidates. Earlier in November, 21 LHU students of Japanese Studies were admitted to paid internship program in Japan.

Participating in the interview, students demonstrated their good Japanese language skills, communication skills, problem solving skills that had been trained over the years. As a result, graduates at LHU always have an open job opportunity, contacting and competing with high quality human resources, especially the opportunity to experience culture and life of natives, then work in Japanese businesses at home and abroad.

The program orientates students of Japanese Studies to take internship and work in the hospitality industry. The program in cooperation with LHU selects students with good foreign language skills to work at 50 famous hotels in Japan, from Hokkaido to Southern Japan. In addition, during the internship, students have opportunities to practically experience extracurricular activities with businesses, to increase interaction and other skills.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu - Director of Kyodai company said “According to the survey of Japan Trade Promotion Organization, up to 70% Japanese enterprises want to invest in Vietnam and 66.6% Japanese companies in Vietnam plan to expand production and business activities, not to mention the context of "aging personnel" in Japan, opening up many opportunities for those with Japanese language ability to work in Japan.He also added during the internship, if the students work well and wish to work in Japan, after graduation, Kyodai company will contact the University to facilitate students return to Japan to work from 3-5 years.

Students of Japanese language at LHU are always equipped from basic to extensive knowledge of Japanese language and culture and well trained four skills - listening - speaking - reading - writing. Besides, students are cultivated knowledge of economics, foreign trade, tourism, international relations, etc... When they graduate, they can flexibly meet the human needs of society.
