112 LHU students received scholarships of Guangxi Normal University

112 Chinese Language majors of LHU on March 6 attended the opening ceremony of internship and advanced Chinese language classes 2022 organized by Guangxi Normal University. Reportedly, LHU students will attend two-month internship and five-month advanced Chinese language classes started this March.

In 2019, LHU and Guangxi Normal University signed a MoU to promote student exchange between the two sides. In 2021, three students of LHU attended online courses to improve Chinese language organized by Guangxi Normal University. On January 10, 2022 LHU and Guangxi Normal University officially signed to establish the first Chinese Language and Culture Center in Vietnam. Accordingly, 112 students of LHU have received scholarships to attend internship and advanced Chinese language program organized by Guangxi Normal University. Students of LHU receive the most scholarships granted by Guangxi Normal University in 2022.

On his speech at the opening ceremony, DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector of LHU said "in the past two years, due to the covid epidemic, the study exchange activities between countries have been halted. Many international students lose the opportunity to study in China. However, the birth of the first Chinese Language and Culture Center in Vietnam has opened opportunities for students' learning exchange between the two countries. Many students of LHU took online courses of Guangxi Normal University. This is a great opportunity for our students to approach the new and modern learning environment, also enhance indigenous knowledge and language." On behalf of LHU, he sent sincere thanks to the Guangxi Normal University for their friendship and enthusiasm. In addition, he expressed his hope that epidemic would end soon so that lecturers and students of the two universities could directly exchange and study together.

Also at the event, representing Vietnamese students studying at Guangxi Normal University, Le Thi Tri Kim, second-year student from Chinese Language, LHU expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the care and assistance of leaders and lecturers of the two universities and showed her great determination to study well, contributing to fostering the friendship between the two sides.

It can be said this opening ceremony is a good start, opening up opportunities for LHU students majoring in Chinese Language and prospective students.
