Truong Buu Diep won Third prize at 5th Japanese Speech Contest

On March 19, Truong Buu Diep, a student from 18DN112 class of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU won the third prize at the 5th Japanese Speech Contest for universities in the southern region.

The contest was organized by Hiroshima University and Komaru Foundation (Japan), Center for Cultural Exchange and Japanese Studies, Faculty of Japanese Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This was a big event of the year for all students studying Japanese at Southern Universities.

This year's contest entitled "traffic congestion" received more than 100 entries from several universities in the southern region of Vietnam. The Jury selected 13 excellent candidates to compete in the final round.

At the final round, 13 contestants took their turn to present a seven-minute-long monologue and then answered two questions from the judges. By his own ability and efforts, Diep brilliantly overcame many strong competitors to win the third prize in the contest.
