Meeting to celebrate the 91st founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union

The Executive Committee of LHU's Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26 organized a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 91st founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - 2022). 

The ceremony saw the presence of Outstanding Teacher. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Secretaty of Party Committee, Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Vice Rector, Dr. Le Thi Thu Huong - Chairwoman of LHU's Labor Union, Mr. Le Son Quang - Secretary of Youth Union, Mr. Tran Tien - Chairman of Student's Association, representatives of faculties and offices, distinguished guests and more than 200 students, Union cadres and Union members.

At the ceremony, the participants reviewed the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union during the past 91 years. Representing the University Management Board, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan delivered a speech to congratulate and praise generations of Youth Union officials, union members and youths for their efforts and great contributions to the Youth Union work and encouraged generations of students to continue to study well and actively participate in Youth Union activities.

On the occasion, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 19 individuals for their outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and movements in the 2020-2021 school year; honoured and commended excellent Youth Union cadres; presented certificates of merit from the Standing Board of Dong Nai Youth Union to outstanding collectives and individuals in the prevention and control of covid-19; praised 146 individuals and three collectives for the title "Students with five good merits" at university-level; awarded the contest to learn about the Vietnamese Student Association,... Also at the event, the Executive Committee of LHU Youth Union admitted new members of the Union and introduced excellent members of the Youth Union for the Communist Party to consider admitting them to become members of the Communist Party. At the end of the ceremony, the Chess Club of LHU was introduced.
