LHU lecturer participated in VietTESOL 2023

Recently, Le Thi Ha, M.A - lecturer of the Faculty of English Language, LHU attended and presented at the VietTESOL International Convention 2023 themed “English Language Teaching (ELT) for the 21st Century Excellence" hosted in Hanoi from August 25 to 27. The convention was co-organized by the Ministry of Public Security's Peoples' Security Academy, Association of English Language Teaching and Research (VietTESOL), the Ministry of Education and Training's National Foreign Language Project. The convention targets modern approaches to innovating English language curriculum, teaching methods, assessment and testing, professional development, teaching and learning facilities.

The VietTESOL International Conference 2023 has built an academic forum for scientists to exchange research results, ideas, innovations and resources related to English research, teaching and learning. It also aims to connect teachers, researchers, and educators in English research and teaching, in order to build a national and international TESOL community.

The event attracted the participation of more than 850 domestic and international delegates. Keynote and featured speeches focused on technology in language teaching and learning; teaching methods and applied linguistics; professional training,... 

Ms. Le Thi Ha, lecturer of the Faculty of English Language, LHU participated in the VietTESOL 2023

LHU's side had MA. Le Thi Ha, lecturer of the Faculty of English Language, participating in the conference as a reviewer, a moderator and a speaker.

As a moderator, she ran the two subcommittees entitled "Using Video Recording to improve speaking ability of adult learners" and "Making Teaching and Learning a Happy Journey". Ms. Ha also presented the theme "Fostering Learner Autonomy in a Vietnamese EFL Classroom: Procedures and Suggestions" at the convention.

Her presentation attracted the attention of many attendees and exchanges from RMIT University's experts due to its update and practicality in fostering and promoting autonomy in language learners.
