Seminar "U.S. education system and study opportunities"

LHU in collaboration with the Consulate General of the United States in HCM City on September 28 afternoon, organized a seminar to introduce the U.S. education system and study opportunities.

Attending the event, from the U.S. Consulate General in HCM City, was Mr. Jon Christian Mc Cahill - Consular Officer; Ms. Quach My Ngoc - Senior education consultant. LHU was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Vice Rector; Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, M.A - Head of Office of International Affairs; Le Duc Thinh, M.A - Dean of Faculty of English Language; Dang Thi, M.A - Vice Dean of Faculty of English Language; Hoang Tien Dung, M.A - Deputy Head of Office of International Affairs; lecturers and students from the Faculty of English Language, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, the Faculty of Information Technology and others.

There has been a good exchange and cooperation relationship between the U.S. Consulate General in HCM City and LHU for many years. Earlier, the Delegation proposed a visit to LHU to introduce the U.S. education system and scholarship programs for the University's lecturers and students.

At the seminar, the Delegation provided the participants with information about undergraduate and graduate study programs in the United States; registration and visa procedures; and things to keep in mind when studying in the U.S. The two sides also had a Q&A session to clear all concerns about studying abroad in the U.S.

The seminar has provided lecturers and students with useful information related to study opportunities, especially for those who are planning to study in the U.S. have a better understanding and good preparation.
