Workshop: Agile Scrum

On May 10, 2024, the Faculty of Information Technology, LHU in collaboration with Techbase Vietnam Company Limited organized a workshop on Agile Scrum. The event attracted great attention from IT students and lecturers.

The Techbase Vietnam Co., Ltd. was represented by Mr. Nguyen Vu Truc Phuong - Project Manager; Ms. Phan Thien Trang - COM Leader/Scrum Coach; Mr. Tran Thanh Dinh - PM/Scrum Coach; Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Ny - QA/Scrum Coach; Ms. Truong Thi Thanh Thuy - QA/Supporter and Ms. Dang Thi Khanh Bang - Dev/Supporter.

The workshop was held to provide introduction and instructions on Agile Scrum, a popular project management method in IT today.

Numerous IT students participating in the workshop 

The workshop focused on:

- Introduction to Agile Scrum: Overview of the Agile Scrum theory and principles, its benefits in project management.
- Roles and Responsibilities: Analyzing the roles of members in the Scrum team, from Scrum Master, Product Owner to Development Team.
- Scrum Techniques and Tools: Instructions on how to use Scrum support tools such as Jira, Trello and work management techniques such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.
- Group practice: Students divided into small groups to practice according to simulation projects, under the guidance and support of Scrum Coaches from Techbase VN.

The workshop received positive feedback from the participants. Many students said they had a clearer view of Agile Scrum and saw the importance of this method in improving teamwork and project management efficiency.

A representative from the Techbase Vietnam Company also expressed his desire to continue to step up cooperation activities with the Faculty of IT, LHU in the future such as organizing more workshops and other practical activities to support students in learning and accessing the latest technologies.

The Agile Scrum workshop is not only a learning opportunity but also a bridge between businesses and schools, contributing to the overall development of the IT industry in Vietnam.
