Training on Diplomatic Protocol and Etiquette

On May 15, 2024, the Office of International Affairs, LHU in collaboration with the Dong Nai Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of External Security (PA01) - Dong Nai Provincial Police organized a training on Diplomatic Protocol and Etiquette for LHU lecturers and students.

LHU has been promoting cooperation ties with many foreign partners. Its lecturers and students have many opportunities to visit and study abroad, so equipping them with knowledge and skills on diplomatic protocol and external security is a very important activity in helping international cooperation in accordance with the State laws.

From the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, there were Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Deputy Director; Ms. Phan Ha Uyen - Head of the Department of Consular Affairs & Overseas Vietnamese. On the side of the External Security Department (PA01) - Dong Nai Provincial Police, there were Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Tan - Deputy Head; Major Hoang Xuan Thanh - Police Officer.

From the LHU side, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of the Office of International Affairs; Mr Le Duc Thinh - Dean of the Faculty of English Language; Mr. Hoang Tien Dung - Deputy Head of the Office of International Affairs; lecturers and students from the Faculty of English Language, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics and Faculty of Administration and International Economics.

Opening the training session, Major Hoang Xuan Thanh provided the participants with useful and important information related to the State's policies and legal documents in the field of international cooperation and foreign affairs.

The second part was the Diplomatic Protocol and Etiquette presented by Ms. Phan Ha Uyen - Head of the Department of Consular Affairs & Overseas Vietnamese. She equipped lecturers and students with basic principles of protocol and etiquette, rules for receiving guests, banquet arrangement, gift giving..., and other useful information.

The training session helped the participants strengthen their knowledge and understanding of protocol and etiquette in the fields of diplomacy and cooperation.

More useful training sessions related to protocol and etiquette are expected to be held in the near future.
