LHU signs an agreement on pilot Korean language project at high schools in Dong Nai

An agreement on a pilot Korean language project at high schools in Dong Nai was signed on June 21 between Dong Nai Department of Education and Training, Visang Vietnam Education Company Limited and LHU. This project is supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam and the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of Dong Nai province.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Member of the Central Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association of Dong Nai province; Mr. Nguyen Son Hung -  Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Kim Young Hwan - Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce (Kocham) in Dong Nai; representatives of Visang Vietnam Education Company Limited and LHU.

The project aims to diversify the foreign language teaching outside the regular school hours, meeting the needs of human resources training for Dong Nai's socio-economic development. It also aims to form the first smart Korean education model for high school students in Dong Nai, helping Dong Nai become Vietnam's representative for Korean language education; at the same time, introducing Dong Nai's land and people in the process of development and international integration.

Under the agreement, LHU will act as a bridge to connect with Visang Vietnam Education Co., Ltd. to directly teach Korean language to learners. High school students will be taught Korean with 70% face-to-face and 30% online learning by LHU lecturers and introduced Korean teachers.

Chairman of the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association of Dong Nai province Huynh Thanh Binh and Chairman of Kocham in Dong Nai Kim Young Hwan expected the pilot Korean language program will further contribute to the cultural and investment connections between Dong Nai and Korea. According to the provincial People's Committee, Korean enterprises have currently registered to invest in Dong Nai with a total capital of nearly 7.3 billion USD. Korea holds the first position among 46 countries and territories in terms of investment in Dong Nai.
