Information arena 2025: An exciting hands-on experience for FIT students

Information Arena 2025, an academic playground hosted by the Faculty of Information Technology, LHU in late May, attracted many students with a passion for technology and a strong interest in exploring computer networks.

A dynamic and challenging competition

The competition was held in a team-based format, with each team consisting of four members working together to solve real-world challenges in computer networks and information security. Teams had only 25 minutes to analyze the problem, propose solutions and implement it on actual devices or simulation software.

The competition atmosphere was consistently energetic and thrilling. Students had to work closely together, share ideas, and make the most of their time to complete the tasks. Challenges related to IP configuration, system security, and network troubleshooting posed considerable difficulties but also served as a precious opportunity for teams to demonstrate their logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

A valuable hands-on experience

More than a competition, it provided students with a valuable opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts, practice teamwork skills and handle high-pressure situations. In particular, FIT students recognized their strengths and weaknesses, thereby enhancing essential skills to be ready for the real-world work environment in the future.
