In celebration of the 116th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8, 1910 – 2026), along with the 2026 Trade Union New Year Gathering, LHU organized a series of meaningful activities on March 7, 2026, at the Tran Bien Temple of Literature for faculty members and staff across the university.
The program aimed to create opportunities for interaction and connection among different units within the university while fostering a spirit of solidarity, sharing, and a positive working environment within the LHU community.

A key highlight of the celebration was a cooking contest themed “Hotpot specialties from Vietnam’s three regions”, attracting enthusiastic participation from trade union groups across the University.
During the contest, participating teams showcased their creativity and culinary skills by preparing signature hotpot dishes representing the cuisines of Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnam. Beyond focusing on flavor, the teams also delivered well-prepared presentations on the ideas behind their dishes, creating a vibrant and engaging culinary atmosphere. The contest took place in a lively setting with enthusiastic cheers from supporters, creating a joyful space for interaction and contributing to stronger connections among university units.

As part of the program, the Organizing Committee presented awards for the “Graceful Ao Dai LHU 2026” Photo Contest, which aimed to honor the elegance and charm of female lecturers, staff members, and employees in the traditional Vietnamese ao dai.
The submitted photos captured beautiful moments of LHU’s female faculty and staff, while also portraying the image of modern women who are confident, dynamic, and dedicated to their work. The contest received enthusiastic participation from various units within the University, contributing to the promotion of traditional cultural values and celebrating the beauty of Vietnamese women.

On this occasion, faculty members and staff gathered for the Trade Union New Year Meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The gathering provided an opportunity for members of the LHU community to meet, interact, and share the joy of the new year together, thereby strengthening solidarity and fostering a more positive, connected working environment throughout the University.

The series of activities celebrating International Women’s Day not only reflected the University’s care and appreciation for its female faculty and staff but also contributed to promoting meaningful values and building a culture of unity and humanity within the LHU community.
