Talkshow "Connecting the innovation start-up ecosystem and Lunch of SIV in Dong Nai"

On August 28, 2023 LHU in collaboration with the Student Village - Creative Students - Techfest Vietnam hosted the talkshow "Connecting the innovation startup ecosystem and Launching the Hub of Student Innovation Village (SIV) in Dong Nai”. The program is part of the Dong Nai Innovation Startup Festival series of events (Techfest Dong Nai 2023) themed “Creative Runway – Golden Deer Take Off”, which took place from August 26th - 28th.

Attending the program, from leaders of departments in Dong Nai, there were Mr. Huynh Minh Hau - Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Vo Ngoc Thach - Deputy Director of Department of Education and Training; Mr. Phan Van Chau - Chairman of Lawyers Association; Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Vice Chairman of Import-Export Association.

From LHU, there were Ms. Do Thi Lan Dai – Chairwoman of the University Council; Mr. Lam Thanh Hien – Rector; members of the Rectorate Board, leaders of units. The event was also attended by Ms. Le Thi Thanh Tam – Head of SIV - Techfest Vietnam, together with representatives of SIVs, co-heads, start-up experts, businesses, universities and a large number of students in Dong Nai.

At the talkshow, experts informed the start-up community and students in Dong Nai many useful topics such as Introducing financial investment fund; Introducing a solution to simulate business operations through BeRich - Contest announcement; Introducing STEM activities supporting innovation start-ups; Solutions to form and develop sustainable start-up ecosystems at universities and colleges related to local products and indigenous tourism; Improving the capacity of career counseling in schools; Announcing the IP Start contest of the Invention Village and Innovation Enterprise.

Also at the event, the Organizers officially announced the document establishing the Student Village - Creative Students Hub in Dong Nai with 20 members. The Hub is led by Mr. Nguyen Van Tan - Dean of the Faculty of Administration - International Economics, LHU.

Signing of cooperation agreement between LHU and SIV - Techfest Vietnam

To mark the program, Mr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector of LHU and Ms. Le Thi Thanh Tam - Head of SIV - Techfest Vietnam jointly signed a cooperation agreement to create a favorable conditions, provides support and abundant resources to help LHU students develop new ideas to create more competitive products and services, making positive contributions to the development of the community and society.

Ms. Le Thi My Le - Director of External Relations of King Attorney and Rector of LHU signed a cooperation agreement to support start-up activities at LHU

LHU also signed a cooperation agreement with the Investment Fund for Startups to expand the investment fund for start-up activities at LHU.
