Cultural Experience: Seasonal customs of Korea

To continue the series of events "Sejong’s Cultural Month", LHU - Bien Hoa King Sejong Institute on November 11, 2023 organized a cultural experience themed "Seasonal customs of Korea" at Campus 2, LHU.

The event attracted the participation of many students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU and people who love Korean culture.

Mr. Yoon Han Yeol introducing Korea's seasonal customs

Unlike other Asian countries, Korea has four distinct seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each season has different customs and festivals. Folk games or typical dishes are always the main features of traditional festivals. Korean seasonal customs are repeated over time in a year from January to December, creating a long-standing cultural beauty.

At the event, the participants excitedly learned to make gyros, enjoyed Gangjeong rice cakes,... as well as listened to Mr. Yoon Han Yeol's sharing about rituals, customs, typical foods or folk games of seasonal festivals. Thereby showing that, not only famous for its kimchi and ginseng, Korea also is imbued with traditional Eastern culture but shiny with modern beauty.
