LHU Faculty of Information Technology Enhances Enrollment and Internationalization in Four Key Academic Programs

As part of its new-phase development strategy, the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) at Lac Hong University (LHU) prioritizes the training of high-quality human resources in digital technology, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence, meeting the workforce demands of enterprises in Vietnam and the ASEAN region. Currently, the Faculty is enrolling and providing education in four key academic programs:

  • Information Technology
  • E-commerce
  • Multimedia Communication
  • Artificial Intelligence

In parallel with enrollment activities, the Faculty places strong emphasis on expanding international cooperation to foster a modern, globally integrated, and experiential learning environment for students.

Strengthening International Cooperation

On January 29, 2026, Lac Hong University hosted a working session with a delegation of senior leaders from Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN), Indonesia. The meeting aimed to review and assess the implementation of cooperation agreements signed between the two institutions in April 2025, while also exploring new opportunities for collaboration in education and research.

Both institutions share a common commitment to enhancing educational quality, promoting innovation, and advancing sustainable development through academic cooperation.

UMN – A Strategic Partner Aligned with FIT’s Academic Orientation

Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) is a prestigious higher education institution in Indonesia, operating under Kompas Gramedia Group, the country’s largest media conglomerate. UMN is recognized for its strengths in Information Technology, Digital Business, Communication and Design, Engineering, as well as postgraduate programs focused on innovation and creative development.

These academic strengths closely align with the current training programs of the Faculty of Information Technology at LHU, particularly in E-commerce, Digital Communication, and Artificial Intelligence.

Role of the Faculty of Information Technology in Cooperative Activities

During the working session, the Faculty of Information Technology served as the core academic unit directly engaged in discussions, presenting its training orientation and proposing specific areas of cooperation. Key topics shared by the Faculty included:

  • Practice-oriented training objectives aligned with industry requirements;

  • Curricula continuously updated to reflect emerging technologies;

  • Strategic development of Information Technology, E-commerce, Digital Communication, and Artificial Intelligence programs in accordance with international standards.

Based on these exchanges, the two institutions discussed potential collaborative initiatives, including:

  • Faculty and student exchange programs within the Cintana Education Alliance network;

  • Joint organization of academic activities and international seminars;

  • Sharing best practices in developing regionally standardized academic curricula.

Expanding International Learning Opportunities for Students

Through cooperation with Multimedia Nusantara University and partners within the Cintana Education Alliance, students of the Faculty of Information Technology at Lac Hong University will have enhanced opportunities to:

  • Access international academic environments;

  • Participate in academic exchanges to strengthen professional competencies and foreign language proficiency;

  • Expand career prospects in the fields of digital technology and the digital economy.

In the coming period, the Faculty of Information Technology at Lac Hong University will continue to strengthen enrollment efforts while further expanding international cooperation, with the objective of enhancing training quality and positioning the Faculty as a leading provider of high-quality, globally integrated digital technology human resources that meet societal and industry needs.
