LHU Students’ “Cashew-Based Vegan Food” Project Secures Second Prize at SV.STARTUP 2026 – National Startup Festival

After three days (from April 17 to 19, 2026) of defending their project before the National Startup Jury, the project CASHEW ESSENCE – Cashew-Based Vegan Food by students from Lac Hong University (LHU) successfully won the National Second Prize at SV.STARTUP 2026—the 8th National Startup Festival for Students.

This impressive achievement is the result of the dedicated efforts of an interdisciplinary team comprising students from Pharmacy, Information Technology, English Language, and Finance & Accounting. This cross-disciplinary collaboration not only fostered a highly creative project but also showcased the interdisciplinary spirit, the ability to apply knowledge to practice, and the entrepreneurial mindset of LHU students.

Contributing to the project's overall success, Information Technology students played a key role in refining systematic thinking and supporting modern solutions. Their efforts enhanced market accessibility and increased the product's growth value within the context of digital transformation. This serves as clear evidence of the increasingly vital role of IT in startup projects—not only in technical aspects but also in connecting products with real-world social demands.

The 8th National Startup Festival for Students in 2026 was organized to promote the startup ecosystem within education, contributing to the development of a creative and sustainable economy. With its expanding scale, this year’s festival is expected to attract approximately 10,000 students along with the participation of about 50 enterprises, experts, and advisors from various fields.

Previously, according to Official Dispatch No. 449/TB-BGDĐT dated March 23, 2026, the CASHEW ESSENCE project was honored to be included in the list of exemplary ideas in the fields of Agriculture, Environment, and Energy announced by the Ministry of Education and Training. This significant milestone continues to affirm the development potential of the project as well as the creative, research, and entrepreneurial capabilities of Lac Hong University students.
