LHU Student Sports Festival 2023 opened

On April 23 morning, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union - Student Association in coordination with the Labor Union of LHU held the opening ceremony of the Student Sports Festival 2023 at the Center of Physical Education. This year’s Sports Festival themed "Break the limit" aims to welcome the 7th LHU Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028 and the 9th LHU Student Union Congress, term 2023-2025, as well as to encourage the movement of physical training, strengthening exchange and learning throughout LHU. The Student Sports Festival took place from April 23 to May 13, 2023.

DSc. Lam Thanh Hien – Rector; Dr. Le Thi Thu Huong – Chairwoman of the Trade Union; Ms. Truong Le Bao Trinh - Secretary of the Youth Union, Mr. Tran Tien - Chairman of the Student Association, along with representatives of affiliated units, referee team, lecturers and more than 350 athletes attended the ceremony.

The Student Sports Festival includes 8 sports (football, volleyball, tug of war, badminton, king chess, Chinese chess, caro chess and swimming), attracting the participation of more than 652 athletes, 12 men's soccer teams, 7 women's soccer teams, 5 men's volleyball teams, 5 women's volleyball teams, and many other categories.

The Sports Festival also saw the participation of many athletes from Lac Hong Bilingual School; ACB Bank - Dong Nai Branch; Tran Dai Nghia Primary-Secondary-High School; Bui Thi Xuan Primary-Secondary-High School and Dong Nai Joint Stock Company.

At the event, the Organizers awarded souvenir flags to participating teams. The games of tug of war took place right after the opening session. Exciting football matches also took place with the competition of players from guest teams.

Along with the ceremony, many sports activities and folk games were organized for the participants such as mandarin square capturing; fish-prawn-crab, can toss, darts, the lucky draw,... 

The closing and awarding ceremony of the Student Sports Festival 2023 will be held on May 14.
