LHU visits and works with Chongqing Light Industry School

On the occasion of participating in the second Belt and Road International Skills Competition held in China's Chongqing Municipality, representatives of LHU on June 26 visited and worked with Chongqing Light Industry School (CLIS).

The LHU delegation included Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of Office of International Affairs; Ms. Van Dinh Vy Phuong - Dean of Faculty of Information Technology; Mr. Tran Van Thanh - Lecturer of Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics and two students Tran Minh Khoa and Ho Ngoc Hoang Long. Welcoming the LHU delegation was Ms. Liang Liangliang - President, Heads of Offices and relevant teachers.

CLIS, founded in 1960, is the only public school in Chongqing specializing in light industry. It is recognized as a high quality school with campus culture characteristics and a civilized unit in Chongqing. The school campus covers an area of more than 26.68 hectares, offering more than 20 majors, including industrial design, industrial arts and crafts, mold manufacturing technology, automobile manufacturing and maintenance, Internet of Things application technology, e-commerce, accounting, preschool education, and elderly care services,... A number of them have been recognized as the national and municipal key, unique or pilot majors. The school currently has more than 400 faculty and staff, and more than 8,000 students.

The meeting was an opportunity for the two sides to discuss common strengths, thereby opening up opportunities for future cooperation. At the working session, the two schools discussed cooperation programs such as academic exchange, teaching experience sharing, research and organization of thematic seminars, faculty and student exchange,.... creating conditions for both sides' lecturers and students to exchange, learn and experience new learning environments, organizing specialized competitions to improve professional skills, and creating exchange playgrounds for students.

On the occasion, the LHU delegation visited CLIS's facilities and participated in many cultural experience activities.

The working session took place successfully, opening a new chapter in the cooperative ties between LHU and CLIS. The two sides have agreed to continue to strengthen cooperation, jointly promote the development of high-quality human resources training for society.
